Calcite fluoresces bright orange under short wave U.V. light and dim orange under long wave U.V. light, Willemite fluoresces bright green under short wave and green under long wave and is also phosphorescent, and Franklinite is non-fluorescent. It is very cool when you turn off your short wave U.V. light and you can still see the Willemite glow for a little bit. The picture shows the quality of the sand that you will receive.  Sold Out

5 color specimen of esperite with hardystonite, calcite, willemite, calcozincite, franklinite and a few spots of clinohedrite from Franklin, NJ. Under shortwave U.V. light the esperite fluoresces yellow, the hardystonite violet-purple, the calcite red-orange, the willemite green, and the clinohedrite pumpkin orange. The calcozincite and franklinite are non-fluorescnt.

Two miniature specimens of fibrous wollastonite with margarosanite from Franklin, NJ. One specimen is solid fibrous wollastonite. The other has some feldspar and margarosanite with it. Under shortwave U.V. light the wollastonite fluoresces yellow-orange, the margarosanite light blue, and the feldspar burgundy. The piece with the margarosanite and feldspar measures 5/8" X 5/16" X 1/4"  The other piece measures 1/2" X 1/2" X 1/4"
